Bombyx Mori is the scientific name of the silkworm moth, whose larvae have been used in silk production for thousands of years. This species has been fully domesticated and no longer exists in the wild. Inspired by David Cronenberg's film The Fly, the Bombyx Mori Mask Series explores the hybridization of humans and insects. The first mask in this series was specifically created for the live performance Feast at Como Contemporanea (Co Co), a former silk factory.
